WCRF is broadening its research areas for the ultimate women’s care

A ‘stay-true-to-its-mission’ foundation, Women’s Cancer Research Foundation (WCRF)’ is broadening its research areas for the ultimate women’s care.

Dr. John Paul Micha, Founder and Chairman of the research center and a gynecologic oncologist, who’s devoted himself to women’s care after losing his own mother to gynecologic cancer, has seen over the years how much pain and suffering average women go through. His epiphany came through witnessing his countless patients whose lives were saved by Dr. Micha go through so many complications even after their successful battle with cancer. “I saw a lot of women suffer from long-lasting yeast infections caused by complications while they go through chemo. And it would get overlooked and not taken care of by many OBGYNs and urologists. I felt awful for them.”

Through his experience in gynecologic oncology over 30 years, he couldn’t help but feel for what women go through in their daily life and was stunned by a surprisingly low level of means to solve their issues thus better the quality of life.

This led him to open up a Concierge Medicine For Women to focus on general women’s health and care, not just gynecologic cancer which he has been highly acknowledged for.
Women’s Cancer Research Foundation (WCRF) will take this opportunity to work with Dr. Micha and his patients in researching in the broadened area of gynecologic issues such as finding better cures for yeast infection, not just women’s cancers.
